Amazon Teamsters and Amazon Employees for Climate Justice are jointly bringing this petition to our co-workers because we all want our company to stop aiding the violence and terror of ICE and CBP. We know there is power in organizing together as logistics and tech workers and we will stand together to demand safety for our co-workers, families and communities.

Amazon leadership: Get ICE out of our work

We are Amazon warehouse workers, drivers, and tech workers outraged by the violence perpetrated by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) and the Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP).

Amazon Web Services recently earned 64 million dollars in contracts with ICE and CBP, but its own workers are living in fear.  Many of us are immigrants, and many of us come from immigrant families. We worry about our safety and our loved ones' safety.

Our fears are well-founded.

ICE has overtly racially profiled, harassed, and attacked countless people in its efforts to meet its quotas. Last year in Texas, an ICE agent killed Amazon worker Ruben Ray Martinez, though a sworn witness said he was simply trying to follow the agent’s order to leave. Recently in Detroit, ICE abducted two Amazon FLEX drivers who were just trying to do their jobs. Corporate and logistics workers alike who live in targeted neighborhoods have begun carrying our passports everywhere, have stopped traveling alone, and have stopped doing the things we enjoy, simply because we don’t know if we will be next.

Amazon needs to take a stand against this and commit to protecting its own workers.

We demand Amazon:

1. Protect all Amazon workers, from warehouse workers and drivers to tech workers. ICE and CBP will never be let into Amazon offices or facilities without a judicial warrant.

2. Prohibit Amazon warehouses from being used as, or sold to become, detention centers.

3. Drop AWS’s contracts with ICE and CBP.

4. Commit to supporting workers whose status changes under rapidly shifting immigration laws.
