We’re a group of Amazon employees, independent from Amazon, who are pushing our leadership to make better choices when it comes to dealing with Amazon’s impact on our work, our climate, and our communities.

OUR HISTORY
Amazon Employees for Climate Justice has been organizing with our co-workers since late 2018, when we submitted a shareholder resolution demanding that our company reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
That started because several of us who cared about climate and our future got together and tried to figure out how we could use our jobs at Amazon to advocate for something better. And it led to some really important things: in 2019, we won the Climate Pledge when thousands of us walked out on our jobs in coordination with the youth-led Global Climate Strike.
OUR VISION
We’re currently focused on demanding a responsible rollout of AI. We have serious concerns about how Amazon is aggressively rolling out AI during the global rise of authoritarianism and our most critical years to reverse the climate crisis.
